What are some tips or tricks in order to get yourself back into school/work night sleep routines?

After vacations or holidays it’s hard to get back into a sleep pattern after you’ve been going to bed so late and sleeping in. What are some tricks or tips you have to get back to your normal routine?
Also, how can I be sure to get to sleep at a decent time the night before I go back?
