<p>I am fourteen years old and my sleeping pattern is really bad.<br />
I used to have trouble sleeping as a kid, but I am better now. </p>
<p>Lately in the holidays, I go to bed at different times.<br />
But this week, lets say I go to bed at 10pm or any other time. I will wake up at 5-5:30ish am and I can&#8217;t go back to sleep.</p>
<p>No matter what I do, I always go to the toilet in the middle of the night, I have tried everything to stop this, but its just who I am. I will be busting to go to the toilet at 5pm and then when I come back to bed to go to sleep. I can&#8217;t or it takes forever.</p>
<p>My dad gets up at 6am and I am a light sleeper and I can always hear the tv going off in the kitchen, which is right down the hall, next to my bedroom.</p>
<p>I just want to know, because when school comes back.<br />
I have to wake up at 6:15am to catch the bus to school at 7:30am (it takes me forever to get ready lol)<br />
Please, I don&#8217;t want to be waking up at five and not going back to sleep.<br />
Its been happening everynight this week <img src='http://holidaypatterns.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_sad.gif' alt=':(' class='wp-smiley' /><br />

<p>OK, so I&#8217;m nearly 16, and I&#8217;ve never really been good at getting to sleep&#8230;.though when I do eventually go to sleep It&#8217;s for hours. It&#8217;s currently 5.30 in the morning and im still awake..this has been going on for a couple of weeks now (It&#8217;s the holiday&#8217;s as well). So I&#8217;ll probably fall asleep within the next hour, and sleep through til about 2. So It gets to round 10o&#8217;clock and I&#8217;m tired, but i don&#8217;t want to sleep because its too early,and then at midnight Im wide awake. And for people that say I need to wake myself up in the morning,Even when I get up at 7.30 because of school, I&#8217;m still awake at around 2 in the morning.<br />

<p>during the summer holidays my sleep pattern has been out of sync. I had the tendency to stay up to about 5am and sleep through to around 2pm<br />
Now im having problems getting back into routine. (sleep at around 12 and up at 9) My brain has gotten so used to being active in the early hours in the morning that when I try to sleep at 12 all I can do is think about stuff&#8230; university, relationships, career prospects, past events, etc<br />
I&#8217;m very restless and always alert (im not sleeping, i just have my eyes shut)) until about 3-4 in the morning when i eventually drift off<br />
what should I do? Any suggestions? I used to sleep like a log!</p>
