I am fourteen years old and my sleeping pattern is really bad.
I used to have trouble sleeping as a kid, but I am better now.

Lately in the holidays, I go to bed at different times.
But this week, lets say I go to bed at 10pm or any other time. I will wake up at 5-5:30ish am and I can’t go back to sleep.

No matter what I do, I always go to the toilet in the middle of the night, I have tried everything to stop this, but its just who I am. I will be busting to go to the toilet at 5pm and then when I come back to bed to go to sleep. I can’t or it takes forever.

My dad gets up at 6am and I am a light sleeper and I can always hear the tv going off in the kitchen, which is right down the hall, next to my bedroom.

I just want to know, because when school comes back.
I have to wake up at 6:15am to catch the bus to school at 7:30am (it takes me forever to get ready lol)
Please, I don’t want to be waking up at five and not going back to sleep.
Its been happening everynight this week
um excuse me what the ****?

Ok so recently I have got into this really bad habit of going to bed past midnight and then not waking up until 11/12 in the morning. This is fine in the holidays but I’m going back to school on Wednesday and I need to be able to wake up at 7 in the morning…
When I think about going to bed early, I just don’t feel like it and I end up not being able to get to sleep until about 12 and it really annoys me, so then I start thinking about it, and then I can’t get to sleep…
Well I hope you understand that lol, do you know any ways I can get a proper sleep pattern back in a couple of days?? Thanks x

sanddancer45 asked:

i have worked for local authority last 7 years but am based in a NHS crisis team. My shift pattern which was agreed at interview consists of 5 shifts of 8 1/2 hours duration followed by 3 days off. In 8 weeks I work approx 298 hours. The nurse practitioners were moved to hourly holiday entitlement 2 years ago but social services agreed we could continue to take our holidays in days. Social services have now told us we must move over over to an hourly holiday entitlement as we work an 8 1/2 hour day. I feel the matter is further complicated as they have just given me a standard contact stating I work 37 hour week with 35 days holiday which does not reflect my current shift pattern. Is this construed as a change to contact and does a verbal agreement which has stood for 7 years have any weight.

Joshua H asked:

My grandmother has made me and my cousins slippers every few years for holidays and stuff. I have learned how to knit in the last while, and I want to make a pair for her. Unfortunately im having trouble finding a suitable pattern. There are lots of slippers out there, but i want a pattern similar to what she has made for me.
Looking at the slippers, I can try to describe a bit. I know one knitter told me it was like a Corncob pattern, but i could never kind anything online about it.
Its extremely simple looking. It looks like the bottom is a separate piece, with a mattress stitch holding it to the top, or some sort of seam. On the top piece, the stitches look vertical, just from looking at it, until it reaches the toe area, where it abruptly switches to horizontal. Everything looks like simple K1P1, except for the change in direction. Also the toe comes to a circle, like it was knit with circular needles. I cant even tell if the bottom is a separate piece really
I would love some help

. asked:

ok well i have a TERRIBLE sleeping pattern. i go to sleep at 4 or later then get up at 12 (i have to force myself to get up at noon even though i want to sleep more) well my goal is be able to go to sleep at 9:30-10 and get up at 6. so my plan is to stay up all night and day (your probably thinking’ stupid girl! what are you thinking?’ but just read on) so tomorrow i can go to sleep at 9-10 and ill set up my alarm clock to 6 and will make myself get up and then i will continue this pattern (my plan before is to take a bath brush my teeth do some stretching (trying to become flexible) and then go to bed. i plan on bathing and hygenic stuff to be 30 min and stretching for 30 min then go to sleep.

the problem is though once i break a sleeping pattern jsut fro 1 day i cant get it back! in early summer i had a pattern of going to sleep at 11 getting up at 8, taking a nap sometime between 12-2 and sleepign no later then 2. then going back to sleep at 11. i liked the pattern because i didnt stay up soo late this summer. but one night i blew it off to listen to music and talk with my sis and play. so i couldnt get it back.

so how can i maintain a sleeping pattern of going to sleep at 9-10 and getting up at 6? i dont want to have to spend holidays and weekends going to bed early, but i dotn want to ruin the pattern. how can i do this? thanks!
