For the whole summer i’ve been sleeping quite late as an advantage to no school. But as it’s the end of the summer, i have to get to sleep, but i just can’t seem to unless i’m really tired that day.
I’m usually awake until about 3-4am
It takes me long to actually finally get to sleep, whereas in school hours it really doesn’t.
But i generally have difficulty waking up in the morning. I normally can never get up at 7.00 am and am NOT a morning person. So in the holiday i’ve been waking up at about 2.30- 3.00pm in the day. WHen i wake up i’m so miserable and lazy so i NEVER go out, just watch tv all day. This is the worst summer i’ve had as i am no longer energetic.
Even today, i tried to get to sleep, managed and then woke up at 4am again!
I was wondering how do i rearrange my sleeping pattern? And is it unhealthy? Should i take various sleeping tablets?

You need to push that schedule around the clock. Stay up until 5 or 6, and sleep until dinner time, then stay up until 7 or 8 and sleep til evening. It will take a week or so, but you can push it all the way around.
Well…don’t take any sleep pills!! It’s better to try and do it naturally. It is gonna take some work, but you can do it. go to bed at 10pm, and make yourself lay there until 7am. Do not get up before that unless just to go ‘potty’. Then at 7am, get up, out of bed, and make yourself go outside! Do SOMETHING!!!!!! even if you just go outside and sit there…just get up and out! try to walk around if you can. then, go to bed at 10pm, and do the whole thing over again the next day. It will take a few days-week, but it will help!!

Ok what I do is if I can’t sleep one night, then I stay up until 8 or 9 pm the next night and then go to sleep. It works, but the tricky part is not going to sleep until the evening after. It is tempting, but somehow I manage. It could work with you too, I have to do the same thing as I am getting off of the sleep-late binge myself.
You don’t need to take any sleeping pills. You just need to reset your body’s internal clock. You require 8 hours sleep. If you don’t that, you will be sleepy during the day.
Set your alarm at 5:30 AM and don’t go back to bed. Exercise, get breakfast, and start your day. Don’t take a nap till it’s time for bed. Repeat. The hard part is getting started. You’ll feel better rested and be healthier in the long run.
Same with me. I am trying to sleep late and wake up early, so i can be sleepy during the day which would cause me to sleep early. That’s what i do. I hope i helped you!
