Alis asked:
I’ve have my period for 5/6 years and i still dont have a set get that i have it on. It gets pretty annoying when im trying to plan holidays or swimming etc because i never know when im going to get it. I knew it was normal not to have a regular pattern at the beginning, its been 6 years now. Whats going on?

i`m 27 and my periods have only just become regular, dont think its anything to worry about
some women never have regular periods!
bummer
As long as your cycle fits the guidlines( over 2 wks apart) then you probably shouldnt worry. If you still have concerns see your doctor to get some sort of birthcontrol that will regulate it for you.
It’s ok, some women never get a regular period, I don’t I’m 23 and still don’t, so I wouldn’t worry about it. If your so concerned talk to your doctor, there’s a shot you can get that would stimulate your menstral cycle.
Many women don’t have a regular period pattern. I wouldn’t worry about it, but you could always go the the Doctors and ask him for some advice. x
Well im 17 and i have only just got my period back. I didn’t have them for 2 years and i am really hoping they will be ok now. So you arent alone about them not being regular.
If you are that concerned then it is always worth seeing a doctor about it incase there is a reason why it is happening.
one woman i used to know would have two weeks on her period and one week off! loads of womens periods are never regular through their whole lives. only a small few get it on a 28 day cycle every time. It’s nothing to be worried about. I know it can get annoying but perhaps it might settle down in a few years. Think yourself lucky you’re not on a period 3weeks out of four!! lol
i never have regular periods. theres been times when they have been a week or 2 late.
it could be anemia
it could be your size, if your very slim sometimes that can affect it.
i don’t know of any other reason.
It’s pretty common. I’m 18 and have always had an irregular period.(I’ve had mine since I was 11.) My mom said she was the same way, at 17 she got on birth control to straighten it out. I ended up doing the same thing but recently cute back so it’s irregular again. You could always go on birth control too, but you don’t have to. I spoke with my doctor about it and she told me not to worry, it’s perfectly normal at my age.
Good luck “)
