Tiddles asked:
Recently my sleeping patterns changed, I used to fall asleep between 11pm and 12pm and now I’m awake until 4am and sleep till about 1pm. It’s the school holidays and it’s ruining it, it’s not normal could it be down to depression? I’ve been depressed for nearly nine months now and have done nothing about it.
can I go to the doctors about not being able to sleep at night and then mention depression , because I can’t face telling her in case she blames herself (being severely depressed herself)
I know I posted this last night but that was at 3am

i think that you should go to the doctors about deppresion and then if he asks for any effects that have happened tell him about sleeping
i’m having the same problem as you, but i can’t sleep for more then four hours if i’m lucky. i fell asleep at about 5:30 AM and now i’ve been awake since 8 AM. soo i got 2 and a half hours of sleep, and i won’t sleep until about 5 AM tomorrow morning.
Who is “herself”?
Sounds like you may be ready for meds. I did Zoloft for 4 years and it was like a quiet miracle. After a few months of sticking with it, I could sleep again, I could focus. I eventually got off it (slowly) and am totally free now.
Please talk to a doctor and get a referral to a psychiatrist who can prescribe something for you. Counseling also helps a lot. There are a lot of people out there with your problem and it is very helpful to share their experiences and remedies.
I had the same problem till I stoped sleeping in my bed and on the couch instead.
i would talk to your doctor both depression and sleeping problems go together.there might be something wrong mentally they have meds that helps both problems.
