Jay asked:
I want to say something like:
” Because my Aunty loves to cook, the cakes were delicious ” Or “The cakes were delicious because my Aunty loves to cook.” (Do you think this sentence is logical when translated into Japanese..)
Something like this. Can you please give me the grammar pattern for saying this? I learnt it but I forgot it. Does it involve the word desu kara?
Also, how would I say “I didn’t do anything interesting last holidays”

Oba wa ryouri suru koto ga daisuki desu kara, keeki wa oishikatta desu.
Yasumi ni nanka omoshiroi koto o shimasen deshita
- Because my Aunty loves to cook, the cakes were delicious. / The cakes were delicious because my Aunty loves to cook.
Watashi no Obachan ga ryouri suru koto ga dai suki desu kara, cake wa totemo oishi katta desu.
or
Watashi no Obachan ga ryouri suru koto ga dai suki na node, cake wa totemo oishi katta desu.
‘Because , ‘ translates as ‘ kara/node, ‘.
- The cakes were delicious, because my Aunty loves to cook. * notice the punctuation
Cake wa totemo oishi katta desu, (nazenara) watashi no Obachan wa ryouri suru koto ga dai suki dakara desu.
, because .: , (nazenara) dakara desu/etc.
- I didn’t do anything interesting last holidays
Watashi wa mae no kyuujitsu ni nanimo omoshiroi koto wo shimasen desshita.
* nanimo (anything) is used in a negative sentence
* last holidays: mae no kyuujitsu ni
