Magster asked:
my art teacher said we could cover our artbooks over the holidays. im trying to think of ways other than coloured wallpaper or wrapping paper. it can be anything. i was thinking of a collage of stuff i like but i don’t want it to be personal.
id like a colourful and funky/retro design that i could paint on it, maybe a cool picture or pattern would help?
thanks guys!!

try cutting out 1 color like green or purple out of a magazine. get different patterns and itll look really cool! i did it and it turned out great. u could also cut out scenery and put pretty places on the back. but u can nvr go wrong with an awesome collage!
Well, I would gather things from around your room that you like or mean something to you, Write your name in a nice font in the middle of a piece of paper that is the size of your book, then draw the things around it, you could also add little cartoon doodles such as dinosaurs, rainbows, bows etc. What I did was found a colour newspaper and found red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and Violet pieces and such them on in order. On another I also make colorful flowers and stuck them on. You could also look through magazines for inspiration.
Hope this helps (:
If you need more ideas i’m sure I could help (:
sort out your own artwork. all the stuff you don’t want to keep in your portfolio could become the collage. Or, if you want to keep EVERYTHING, scan it and create a digital collage. This will be a good project in itself to help you get used to digital imaging software. But mostly, have fun.
I would cover it in a crazy quilt pattern of fabric. It is so easy to do and their isn’t a set pattern nor realy experience or talent required. Just sew scraps of fabric together. I am almost certain you can find a tutorial on.
what is your theme on?
you could do random doodles and quotes on it thats what i used to do on my art book
