I would greatly appreciate any feedback on this and on how I could improve this, feel free to give constructive criticism! And help with this would be appreciated as I personally do not like this piece. I wrote this when on my holidays (vacation) in Switzerland.

A Masterpiece.

The rain-washed heavens formed a perfect canvas,
An artist shed his mark across the scene.
It hung above a dark and distant mountain,
Interspersed with pine tree collages of green.

Charcoal clouds moved slowly on their journey,
To pave the way for shards of azure blue.
Pushing on and inward to the picture,
As a hint of gentle sunshine filtered through.

Then the mountains came alive in all its glory,
Golden ferns shimmered in the light,
Gentle sheep meandered, weaving patterns,
I marveled at the splendor in my sight.

A teeming waterfall poured crystal water,
Into a frothy multi-fingered stream,
And as it rushed by moss-ridden ledges,
I pinched myself to waken from a dream.

But the dream was a reality,
Yes, this sight before my eyes,
Was painted by no other,
Than the master of the skies.
