I bought a kaftan the other day, I did buy it for my holiday but I personally like it as a top/dress/tunic thing, too. It’s a thin material but it isn’t at all see-through, and it’s not hugely baggy. It comes down to about half way down my thighs. I wore it the other day with long black leggings and a long brown wooden cross necklace, and personally I thought I looked fine. (I know the pattern isn’t to everybody’s taste but I like it!). We don’t live anywhere near a beach or anything and it wasn’t a particularly hot day. I got home and my sister (who is 16 and still in her bitchy phase at times!) told me it was ridiculous to wear a kaftan anywhere other than a beach holiday. What do you think?
