I have binge purge anorexia, I’m 15 years old. For the last two months my eating patterns hav gotten a bit better than before, and I thought I was recovering. I stopped purging my binges, and food I restrict. But it all seems to get worse. I started bingeing till my belly hurts and till I could no longer eat anything, though I don’t purge it out. Then the next day I feel fat, and go to the gym for hours and when I start feeling skinny again I binge, with the thoughts in my head ” if you don’t eat you are going to die” and I start eating all I allow my self to but, in extremly large amounts. I used to count evey little calorie intake, even calories in 1 lettuce leaf. In the summer holiday I ate veggies and yoghurt as my diet. But now I still eat same and I included wheat bread(I binge on this excessively). I also binge on fruit juice and milk, sometimes I allow my self 1chocolate cookie. But I freak out after I eat it. I drink too much milk in a day, my ussual binge food. Since I stopped purging out my binges, I hav severe abdominal bloating and smelly burps ands gas, the food I eat comes out undigested properly after bingeing times. I go to the gym 3-4times a week and my weight rises from 52-53 -54 but I still look skinny but not as sick and alien like as before when I used to purge. I got scared of my weight gain and I go to the gym almost everyday, though my appetite keeps rising, my shoulders and hamstrings enlarged and still I don’t loose any weight. I don’t want to have an ounce of fat on me I’m so scared of becoming far and chubby, what is wrong with me? Why do I crave so much milk and bread in excessive amounts? Why do I have smelly burps and gas? And even with daily yoga, and 3 days of gym per week, why do I gain weight?

Red Rum Reincarnate asked:

I’m a night owl as well as a teenager. Nowadays, I tend to sleep late, at around 2-3 am due to games, internet, etc. My sleeping pattern is pretty regular now, but not so when holiday is over, I would sleep at 2 for a day, then 12 the next day, then 3 the day after, but keeping a constant 8-9 hours of sleep. I worry that sleeping late or irregularly may stunt HGH production.

Can someone clarify all I need to know about sleeping well, in order to maximize HGH? Does it matter if I sleep late or irregularly, as long as I keep a constant 8-9 hours of sleep? Do I absolutely have to sleep early AND regularly to maximize HGH production?
@ace j: Actually, there’s very little HGH production during REM sleep, since this is when active dreaming occurs. NREM sleep, on the other hand, is much deeper than REM sleep and most HGH is released. That’s why you don’t wake up as easily compared to when you’re dreaming.

I’ve done my homework, but I’m still in the dark regarding good sleeping patterns and habits.

Anonymous asked:

I stay up to 2-5 in the morning (its 1:30 in the morning now) and don’t wake up until around 1 in the afternoon. I don’t like sleep, and I find that when I go to bed, despite how tired I am, it seems I still lay in bed for upwards of an hour before I eventually go to sleep. As a result, I find it boring, so I’d rather stay up doing something else, playing a game or something, and over the holiday when I have the freedom to do this, I develop the sleep pattern of 2-5.

School starts next week and its an extremely demanding school.. my routine will more or less be wake up 7 to go school till 4:30 intense exercise until 7 (swimming, weights) (sometimes starting at 2-2:30 rather than 4:30) and this is exasperating even when I start off at a good sleep routine.. but in this current routine.. this will be very exhausting.

I have tried the method of staying up all night and day, then going to bed at a decent hour, but it backfired. I went for a trip when I was going to be leaving at 6 in the morning so I just stayed up all night, didn’t sleep during the day, and then came time to go to bed at 10:30 I didn’t finally fade until 1 in the morning..

Can anyone help me with some advice how to be back into a sleep at 10 wake up at 7 routine?

The violinist asked:

My situation is, I purchased a custom made dress overseas which I got my measurements done and all when I was on holiday over there and they offered when they had made it to send it to me since it does take awhile.

I just got the dress just recently buuut it turns out I have gained weight since then… alot of weight.
I can’t send it back and it was pricey. I love this dress and the occasion I’m wearing it for is in a month.
My only option is to loose weight. I have no idea how to loose alot of weight in a month.
The amount I need to loose is 20kgs, or as close to that number as I can get.
I’m unsure on my calorie intake and I’m in my late teens. My sleeping patterns are average, I get 6 hours of good sleep most nights and I have a very relaxed life at the moment, no stress just the occasional school assessments .
I already exercise and eat healthy and all that…. but it’s not doing me anything.

What’s a SAFE, fast, cheap and effective way to loose 20kgs (or near) in one month?
I’m not even going to attempt the lemon detox diet, because I want something that is safe.

Please, if you don’t have anything sensible to say don’t say anything at all as I am rather serious with this.

so, people say you should eat 6-8 times a day.

now, when its the weekend or holidays i eat every single hour.. so like 11 times a day. i still stick to my calories and healthy guidelines etc!

my question is does it affect your metabolism at all? they are small portions eg a sandwich, then an hour later 2 apples, an hour later a yogurt and oats.. i dont have ‘proper big hot meals’, but when school is on then i eat like 4 big meals (breakfast, lunch, 2nd lunch and dinner) because of my schedule and then at home (4pm-7pm)i eat really often to get to my kcal per day.

so is it ok to eat so often? it keeps your metabolism up right? i am out of home, dont get me wrong. i always carry something small to eat eg a granola bar.. thanks for the answers!
hm.. sorry for the confusion, im a girl, but im using my brother’s account. but thank you so much for your answer!
